Minimum requirements for the role:
A qualified Artisan (Millwright, Fitter or Electrician) or related tertiary Engineering or related qualification is essential.
Previous experience working with hydraulics and electricals in the plastic converting industry is essential.
Previous working experience in a production plant as well as in a maintenance supervisory or management role is essential.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, as well as ERP systems, Shopware Asset Care, JD Edwards and/or any other asset management software is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinating and supervising maintenance personnel and contractors as well as reviewing the quality of workmanship.
Monitoring and controlling levels of maintenance spares, including critical spares, general spares and consumables.
Planning and drawing up budgets to control maintenance expenditure.
Ensuring appropriate and effective utilisation of the Shopware Asset module.
Managing and overseeing the budget and controlling maintenance expenditure.
Assisting in the detection and identification of faults, as well as in ensuring that repairs on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment are done.
Managing the shutdown preparation and planning process.
