Purpose of Role:
Manage all day-to-day maintenance and service-related duties within the Isando Plant and where applicable. This position ensures that end users of equipment and machinery are provided with a service and ensuring that all equipment within the plants are available and well maintained.
This role is also responsible for ensuring safety compliance to mitigate risks and potential loss or injury to operators and contractors working with machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First:
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Supervisory:
- Supervise electrical and mechanical maintenance function so as to achieve maximum utilization and production output and to minimize downtime and production loss.
- Ensure that the Maintenance Department personnel are utilized at maximum efficiency through correct work load schedules.
- Production:
- Repairs and maintenance to all plant and machinery within the facility confines.
- Repair and maintenance to all cranes and hoist facilities relevant to production requirements
- Ensure that all scheduled preventative maintenance is adhered to.
- Ensure all data relative to machine downtime costs and equipment are accurately reflected and recorded.
- Procurement:
- Complete purchasing requisitions and arrange for order placement, through Purchasing Department, of related materials and equipment relevant to maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Production Manager with the view to optimize cost and delivery.
- Drawings:
- The ability to understand and interpret all engineering machine drawings in the execution of maintenance duties
- Be able to compile and draw any relevant sketches or designs necessary regarding maintenance functions
- Qualified Artisan Electrician / Millwright
- Supervisory / Leadership Development Certificate Desired eligibility requirement
- 3 5 years related experience
- Supervisory and Leadership experience
- Sound SHE and Quality knowledge and experience
- HT (High Tension) Electrical experience
- Lean manufacturing principles knowledge
