Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience in lithographic or signage industry
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical workings of machinery
- Effective implementation of maintenance programs
- Relevant Degree / Diploma
Financial metrics
- Implement preventive maintenance program by planning and coordinating major scheduled maintenance outages.
- Monitor maintenance scheduling and report maintenance information to management.
- Provide insight and information to management regarding onsite improvement project specifications.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues according to industry standards.
- Implement improved training procedures to better develop new personnel.
- Establish and implement new procedures for standard maintenance scheduling.
- Orchestrate tooling changeovers, setups and repairs to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Review blueprints and manuals to repair and restore optimal functionality.
- Maintain equipment performance by cleaning and lubricating components.
- Inspect completed work to assess quality and identify skill or ability issues.
- Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities, based on priority, quantity of equipment and personnel skill.
- Coordinate efficient maintenance schedules to keep systems running at peak levels.
- On call for repair of press, plate room and signage department.
- Responsible for major components of press operations to include pumps, water injectors, ink injectors.
- Order parts and supplies to facilitate repairs and maintain adequate inventory for current and or future needs.
- Negotiate with various service providers and inspect all workmanship carried out.
- Creation and maintenance of roles and job descriptions and KPIs.
- Performance measuring and management.
- Enforcing ethical, honest, transparent, fair work environment.
- Sourcing of training as and when needed for the team.
- Adequate recognition of team efforts.

- Ensure logical saving of all work, templates, etc. monthly and yearly such that each years financial records can stand on its own when enquiries / investigations / audits take place.
- Produce high quality, neat, logical, succinct, easy to follow, easy to understand, formula linked work / templates / workbooks / financial models - of which is substantiated by facts with no numbers in the formulas.
- Ensure the above (final version) and other documents are chronologically saved / backed up.
- Effectively deal with internal, external, SARS and BEE auditors
- Customer and supplier relationship management.
- Assist with company projects or lead company projects if specific to stock control.
- Automation and management of the ordering process using Pastel / HIS / Websites.
- Ad-hoc requests from Management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
