Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Company: ANB Operations – BBI Packers (Hoedspruit) Posting date: 14/08/2023 Posting expiry date: 25/08/2023 Job purpose: To take responsibility for the installation and maintenance of equipment in the packhouse and production plant. Responsibilities and Duties Maintenance • Equipment (including fire equipment) and buildings kept in good and operational condition and downtime kept to a minimum • Continuous improvement of packhouse efficiencies • Supervise, coordinate, and plan preventative maintenance. • Draft maintenance work schedules on equipment, machinery buildings, and completion of job cards • Daily electrical maintenance on DC/AC systems • Good knowledge of switch gear and fault findings • Ensure new installations are completed within time and budget according to specifications. • Be willing to be on standby outside of working hours Finance and Admin • Costs maintained within parameters and budget • Organise and coordinate the relevant material and human resources Food Safety and Health & Safety • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations. • Ensure a safe working area with minimum incidents/injuries. People Management • Manage high-performance teams that collaborate in pursuit of excellence and a common purpose. • Manage staff performance, discipline, and training. • Cultivate a business culture and value system based on trust to ensure that we build longterm relationships with all stakeholders. • Participate in establishing work schedules and ensuring that these schedules are correctly executed QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • A relevant qualification and/or a minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance technician (millwright/electrician) • Relevant experience and knowledge of maintenance procedures and systems to be maintained (electrical and mechanical) COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS • Ability to follow a maintenance schedule • Physical and manual dexterity and agility • Ability to troubleshoot • Ability to work under pressure, overtime, and meet deadlines.
