Job Description
Responsible for maintaining the Plant, including all equipment in order to sustain a fully operational level that complies with food safety regulations.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics or Physical Science and a completed fitter apprenticeship.
- The suitable candidate must have an Millwright /Electrical or Mechanical Red Seal Trade / National Diploma - Electrical / Mechanical.
- Preference will be given to candidates with exposure on automatic lines and packaging equipment
- 3 Years relevant experience.
- Valid drivers license.
- Be prepared to work overtime
- Medically Fit
- Adhere to the Health and Safety Act;
- Ensure that weekly inspections are done of all plant equipment and machinery and that the necessary repairs are done where required;
- Pro-actively identify high risk components and ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and executed;
- Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Asset management of equipment and stock management of spare parts
- Evaluate work procedures regularly to ensure continuous improvement in production and quality;
- Ensure excellent service delivery;
- Act as GWK Ambassador.
