Our Service & Maintenance Technicians are a pivotal part of the success of the service we provide.
Duties of a Service & Maintenance Technician
- To undertake the service and maintenance of Beds, hoists, pressure care equipment and other daily living aids. Predominately within service users properties
- To liaise with the Customer Service department for call outs, repairs, emergencies
- To ensure all parts used are accounted and recorded correctly
- To apply good standards of engineering practice at all times, when carrying out all aspects of service work and installation projects.
- There will be a requirement on a rota basis to support out of hours activity, for which you will receive a one off payment plus overtime at 1.5 for all hours worked.
What we look for in a Service & Maintenance Technician:
- To hold a current valid driving licence
- To have previous experience in an electrical or mechanical position would be advantageous but is not essential.
- To have experience of PAT & LOLER Testing is an advantage but full training is provided
- Basic DIY skills and be physically fit as the role will involve lifting and carrying
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly and approachable as you will be dealing with members of the public
- A good communicator, resilience when needed and an empathetic nature
