Job Purpose
The Finance Stock Controller will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities, including executing inventory control measures and overseeing the inventory audits. The Finance Stock Controller will be working closely with the Procurement, Warehouse and Distribution teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop the companys Inventory Management Strategy
- Manage and control the regional write-off location
- Manage inbound and outbound stock audits
- Report and investigate any stock discrepancies
- Manage control measures to ensure inaccuracies are addressed and resolved
- Reporting on trends identified regarding breakages, damages, accidents etc
- Manage and control inventory stock counting and stock takes - cycle counts
- Reconciliation of regional stock count and re-counts
- Identify and manage adhoc stock counts
- Manage and control cyclic stock checks (wall-2-wall)
- Reporting on stock counts performed regarding non-compliance
- Ensure daily driver debriefing - (PODs, pre-approved Sales Return Orders (SRO) and Goods Received Note (GRN)
- Manage the comparison of Manifest vs PODs on local drivers
- Report on the condition/quality of returned stock vs SRO/GRN
- Comparing stock returns vs supporting documents and waybills
- Month end procedures are completed
- Provide feedback on inventory performance
- Perform monthly stock write off provision recon
- Perform weekly and monthly management account reporting on sock adjustments and risks identified
- Implement improvement processes on stock integrity
- Co-author Inventory Management SOP, and ensure compliance
- Inventory reporting/monthly feedback
- Grade 12
- Beneficial - Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Warehousing and Logistics
- Experience in FMCG Stock Control and/or Supply Chain environment
- Experience in Managing a team
- Data analysis experience using Excel
- Reporting and Budgeting experience
- Ability to perform a review control procedures
- Beneficial - Data analysis experience using Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics
