Purpose:
The key function of this role is to analyse financial information and implement effective
strategies to enhance overall business performance. Responsible for the preparation of
management accounts and several other reports whilst also overseeing general accounting
procedures and practices within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the CFO & Treasury Accountant
Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.
Produce month end and year end journals.
Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets.
Presenting reports to senior management to aid with business decision making.
Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.
Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs.
Advising on the financial implications of business decisions.
Manage capital expenditure.
Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
Developing and overseeing financial procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in line with budgets.
Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to non - finance members of staff.
Analysing and managing risk within the business.
Grade 12 / Matric
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
5-7 years experience in similar role within the industry.
Experience in budgeting and forecasting
Experience in preparing financial reports and statements
