Manager: Configuration Management

Job description: Core Description As a Manager of Configuration Management, your role encompasses overseeing and implementing the processes and tools necessary to manage and control changes to IT systems, software, and hardware configurations within an organization. The successful person will further ensure all team members are on track with Configuration tasks and client deliverables, regarding Configuration Management deliverables and ensure all Configuration Management procedures and processes are documented and in central storage, also for client specific procedures.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  • Control Configuration Management policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure development and maintaining the Configuration Management process in alignment with BCXs standards.
  • Manage and review the efficiency and effectiveness of the Configuration Management process to ensure the alignment to BCXs standards.
  • Produce management information in alignment with BCXs policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective reporting for the ITIL discipline (Configuration Management) in BCX and clients to maintain and improve the processes implemented.
  • Create and manage the Configuration Management plan, principles and processes and their implementation, which includes CI registration procedures, access controls and privileges.
  • Ensure that the correct roles and responsibilities of relevant parties are defined in the Configuration Management plans and procedures.
  • Propose and agree with, Configuration Items (CIs) to be uniquely identified with naming conventions.
  • Ensure that all staff comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, life cycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases, and templates.

Certifications ITIL 4 Foundation preferred Optional ITIL V3 Practitioner: Service Transition ITIL Expert an Advantage Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry Level of Engagement & Span of Control Internal stakeholders
