Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with and manage external law firms.
- Identify legal risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage non-compliance with contractual commitments.
- Oversee litigation and actively participate in dispute resolution.
- Ensure all legal documents and instructions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and provide training on legal and industry developments.
- Provide legal advice and guidance as needed across various projects and initiatives.
- Draft, review, and formalize agreements, policies, and other legal documents for TSAM.
- Stay updated on legal and industry developments, advising management on the impact of new legislation.
- Engage and liase with internal and external stakeholders for legal matters, transactions, and projects.
- Draft and Update contract templates in line with best practices, incorporating feedback from relevant stakeholders.
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Law (Minimum 360 credits on level 8 framework).
- LLB or equivalent academic degree preferred.
- Admission as an attorney.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- 1-3 years post-admission experience as in-house counsel in a corporate/commercial/manufacturing environment, with a focus on contracts.
