- Initiates, coordinates and manages projects.

- Proven research and managerial record of accomplishment in the field of agronomy and crop science -related disciplines.
- Proven record of accomplishment of applying agronomic practices to improve crop production.
- International recognition in the field of agronomy, conservation agriculture and climate smart agriculture.
- Minimum of 15 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
- Proven experience in attracting externally funded projects.
- Proven experience in human and financial management.
- Proven experience in project and programme management.
- Experience in networking with national and international clients, stakeholders and researchers.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Proven experience in report writing and compiling of presentations.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Registration with a scientific and professional body will be an added advantage.
- Programme and financial management, planning and organizing skills.
- NRF rating will be an added advantage.
- Valid EB or CI driver license.
