Manager, People Shared Service Centre

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Clients new People Shared Service Centre.
  • A Hybrid role based in Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg
  • Up to R1, 080, 000.00per annum + benefits + bonus depending on experience.
  • Relocation assistance offered to relocate to Umhlanga, equivalent to a months' basic salary
  • Advanced Degree (MBA or Masters) in HR or related field is preferred.
About the Role:

This role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of their HR Shared Services Centre, ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of HR services to their employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, a passion for process optimisation, and a commitment to enhancing employee satisfaction, in a technology business preferred.

Capabilities Required

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Masters) in HR or related field is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of job-related concepts with specialization in some areas.
Specific Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices, Labour Legislation, HR Information Systems, and Business Partnering Models.
  • Proficiency in data visualization & analytics, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in People Analytics.
Business Knowledge:
  • Understanding of customer and product portfolios.
  • Insight into business domain, strategy, and long-term objectives.
  • Familiarity with People Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of HR services, including benefits administration, employee data management, and HR inquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Analyse and streamline HR processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the employee experience and overall satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics and service levels to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, line managers, and other stakeholders to address service issues and support HR initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as system implementations, process improvements, and policy updates.
  • Workday, Taleo, iSims or similar subject matter expert experience is highly desirable.
Other Business Responsibilities:

Financials
  • Manage team budget to align with strategy and ensure financial feasibility across projects.
  • Contribute to the development of the departmental budget.
People Management & Development:
  • Lead and drive a team of individual contributors with a focus on strategy delivery, setting clear direction and transparent expectations.
  • Foster a culture that reflects the business values and achieves/exceeds KPIs.
Innovation:
  • Research technological, legislative, compliance, and governance developments to stay abreast of changes and provide insights on their impact.
  • Ensure understanding and adoption of best-in-class HR practices.
