Implement and maintain a sound remuneration strategy aimed at rewarding people fairly, equitably and consistently under the guidance of Remuneration Lead.
- Manage the development of remuneration and benefit implementation plans that is aligned with the achievement of the business strategic objectives.
- Ensure end to end remuneration processes and the compiling of annual cycle review documentation for Non-Executive directors, Executive directors and management.
- Oversee the end to end remuneration processes and compiling of annual cycle review documents for general employees remuneration.
- Manage all increase related administration, timeous surveying, benchmarking and analysis. Oversee the preparation of increase sheets and update of salary and related documentation for approval by People Practice Committee.
- Manage the job evaluation and grading process for employees based on approved operational requirements.
- Oversee the administration of variety of benefits offered by the Group to its employees.
- Administer the Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) of the Group, vesting of share, payment thereof per policy and the budgeting administration there off:
- Preparing LTIP unit schedules including new offerings and vested units for submission to the Remuneration committee.
- Ensuring all programs, policies and procedures comply with current legislation.
- Manage the Disaster Management plan for Remuneration and /Pension departments.
- Oversee all Employment Equity administration, ensure projects are budgeted for and rolled out and the management of the Employment Equity Transformation Committee meetings, under the guidance of the General manager: Human resources, manage the EE process and the submission of EEA2 and EEA4 to the Department of Labour.
- Manage the preparation of the Group's annual workforce and salary budget including the evaluation of the need for new positions and the total remuneration cost and submission thereof.
- Provide support for the review of manpower request to ensure that additional staff or change requests are justified in accordance with budgets, structure and business principles in compliance with organisation design principles.
- Manage and oversee administration of the Group's leave management, and Post Retirement Benefits (PRMA).
- Oversee direct reports by mentoring and managing them - including continuously providing feedback to ensure that team members perform at optimum productivity.
- Manage the department's annual capital and operational budget.
- Set monthly, quarterly and annual project goals and create specific plans to meet the time frame.
- Manage the leave allocation of subordinates to ensure the organisation's requirements are met.
- Identify, manage and report operational risks to Remuneration Lead and manage these risks.
- Perform any other related duties as requested by management.
- A relevant tertiary qualification - a national degree in human resources or equivalent.
- GRP or similar certification will be an advantage.
- Eight years' experience in managing, rewards and benefits, pension administration and HR Systems.
- Active affiliation with appropriate Remuneration networks and organisations.
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment and compensation law and employees tax knowledge.
- Employment Equity legislation and practices.
- Good tax knowledge.
- Understand and have experience in various package structures and approaches.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and benefit administration (retirement, risk and medical aid).
