Requirements
- The candidate must have at least 3 5 years Operations experience.
- Completed welding course in Mig Welding.
- Tig Welding experience.
- Experience in the following areas: CNC Machines, CNC Setter, CNC Operator and CNC Programming.
- The successful candidate must have experience working on Cam, Auto CAD, Inventor and Vault.
- Tool Making
- Assembling of press tools and checking fixtures as well as repair work on Press tools.
- Centre Lathe
- Cutting of standard and imperial sizes, Thread cutting and Tapered cutting.
- Milling Machine
- Cutting of standard and Imperial sizes, Dividing head (hexagon etc.)
- Design of press tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Welding Machine and Torch Repairs.
- To ensure that all cut-off dates for running projects are met.
- To ensure all drawings and projects are updated with latest revisions.
- Ensure part and document availability for each running project.
- To ensure all steps and procedures are followed in parts manufacturing.
- To review drawings and Engineering change requests
- Ensure service standards are met in all parts before dispatch to suppliers.
- Process of all parts, to ensure correct materials used, for the purpose of that part.
- Line delegation to sub- categories.
- Project design check and to make changes to design and material chosen for cost containment purposes.
- Attendance of handover meetings for project release.
- Internal Audits.
- Liaising with suppliers for raw material deliveries to suit project timing.
- Management of office and ground staff.
- To ensure all deadlines are met according to task control sheet.
- Controlling of material pricings within given project budget
- Negotiating with suppliers for best material prices (special steel, ferrous and nonferrous metals).
- Ensuring unit functioning of following subdivision: Mechanical processing, order clerks, receiving, material identification and raw material stock store.
- Supplying manufacturing department with raw material.
- Involved in critical thinking and analysis design planning.
- Brainstorming and assisting from a technical perspective with projects.
- Chairing and attending meetings with senior management on a weekly basis.
- Visiting suppliers to conduct evaluation on product and equipment.
- Customer and supplier visits.
- To ensure that all cut-off dates for running projects are met.
- Chairing daily meetings for productivity excellence.
- Purchasing of all materials and company requirements.
- Run project meetings with Managing Director of the company.
