Trendex, a leading electronics retailer, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ecommerce & Marketing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Head of Ecommerce and Takealot Team Leader in managing our online activities and marketing efforts. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, social media marketing, and online marketplace administration.
Responsibilities:
1) Merchandising and Product Listing Management:
- Upload and maintain product listings on our online sales platforms.
- Ensure accurate and compelling product descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Monitor and optimize product performance based on sales data and customer feedback.
- Take proactive measures to improve product visibility and sales conversion
- Pack and dispatch orders received from Marketplaces.
- Coordinate with couriers to schedule collections and ensure timely delivery.
- Respond to routine customer inquiries via email and telephone.
- Identify and escalate non-routine customer inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
- Maintain a well-organized stock storage system to facilitate efficient order fulfillment.
- Unpack, inspect, and upload new stock to online platforms.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
- Handle all returns and initiate necessary actions for replacements or refunds.
- Keep detailed records of returned items and those lost in transit.
- Conduct market and brand research to identify new opportunities and trends.
- Assist with social media management, including content creation and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
- Utilize graphic design skills to create visually appealing marketing materials.
- Support basic photo editing tasks using Adobe, Figma, or Canva.
- Prior experience with WordPress and Takealot Seller Portal is essential.
- Proficient knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Experience in marketplace administration, including content and product management.
- Basic understanding of ecommerce photo editing using Adobe, Figma, or Canva.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Graphic design skills and familiarity with design tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and tools for marketing purposes.
- No degree is required.
- Previous experience in ecommerce, marketing, or related fields is preferred.
