A Chinese company expanding operations into South Africa is urgently looking for an experienced and reliable person to fill the position of Marketing Manager.
Dutiesand Responsibilities:
• Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors
• Oversee regional market development and monitor trends which suggest the need for new products or strategy
• Evaluate the financial aspects of store development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
• Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion personnel
• Plan the events, like Expo, trade show, exhibition etc.
• Develop pricing strategies, balancing the firm objectives and customer satisfaction
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies
• Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends
• Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products
• Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
• Consult with buying personnel to gain information regarding the types products expected to be in demand
Qualifications
:• At least 3 years proven working experience as a Marketing Manager in retail industry.
• Familiarity with the events plan, latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
• Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively• Budget-management skills and proficiency• Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
• Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
