Crystal Mountain, founded in 1956, is a Resort, Spa and Conference Center located in Weldon Township, Benzie County, Michigan, just west of Thompsonville. The resort's area forms the Crystal Mountain census-designated place. Crystal mountain also offers Spa and wellness services to its numerous guests. The resort offers recreational activities including downhill and cross country skiing the winter months, and golf, water activities, and an alpine slide in other seasons.
Crystal Mountain Spa and Wellness Center currently requires the services of Massage Therapists, Beauty Therapists, Nail Technicians, Salon Managers and Hair Stylists.
Skills, Requirements and Responsibilities:
• Massage Therapists: To provide Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Thai Massage, Body Sculpting, Cellulite, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupuncture, Aerobics, Aesthetics, Aqua Fit, Aromatherapy, Asian Treatments, Ayurvedic Treatments, Bach Flower Candles, Balinesian Treatments
• Hair Stylists: To provide full salon services, including hair cutting, shampooing, blow drying, colouring and styling.
Consulting clients on style options and advising on their hair care needs.
Analyse clients’ hair, facial features, and needs.
Washing, rinsing and drying clients’ hair highly professionally, using appropriate shampoos and conditioners.
Styling and dressing hairpieces and extensions.
• Nail Technicians: Will be required to Paint fingernails and toenails. Clean, cut and shape nails.
Recommend colors, rhinestones and designs based on each customer’s style. Sterilize equipment before use.
Remove previously applied polish. Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer).
• Salon Manager: Must have the ability to handle client requests and complaints with grace. Preferably to be an accredited and qualified stylist as well with knowledge of hair coloring products and can provide photos of past work (colors and hair style updos etc).
Experience: At least 2 years
Salary: Negotiable (based on skills and experience)
Certifications: Applicants with any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply. Degree, Skills acquisition/Vocational training certificate, CIDESCO, CIBTAC, BABTAC, ITEC, NVQ - SVQ3, NVQ - SVQ2, IIHHT, IHBC, BTEC National Diploma, BTEC HND, NCBTMB, NCA, PBA, CThA, AOR, BIAE, VTCT, IFPA, Habia, Sports Massage Certificate.
