Job Purpose
The primary focus of this position is to communicate delivery schedules (call off) to suppliers based on MRP system requirements and collect on a daily basis their commitments. To monitor all gaps to anticipate and treat missing parts with key suppliers. Also to be responsible for all activities pertaining to the parameters review, procurement and materials planning for production. The role reports to the Senior Material Planner.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan the call offs in line with production needs (based on Master Production Schedule planning) and inventory strategy.
- Plan and manage material receipt.
- Manage procurement plan accuracy & ensure material on time deliveries, monitor supplier performance.
- Interact with Logistics Method in parameters definition.
- Escalate in case of suppliers major issues & work on corrective action plan with Supplier development team and buyers.
- Visit suppliers on a regular basis.
- Participate in cross functional team, daily meetings sharing missing parts visibility and recovery plans.
- Perform work with constant awareness of improving processes, reducing cost as necessary for positive growth.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently & to work independently.
- Communicate on a daily basis with suppliers sharing procurement plan & challenging suppliers commitments.
- National Diploma in Supply Chain or any Technical equivalent Qualification
- Similar operational experience exceeding 5 years in Manufacturing , Industrial environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Supply chain processes especially in warehouse & material flows
- ERP: SAP Experience
- Experience with MS Office tools
- Excellent communication
- Strong negotiation skills & leadership
- Active team player, deadline driven, process driven
