Senior Materials Technician - Eastern Cape

Hire Resolve is currently looking for a Senior Materials Technician to join their client's team in the Eastern Cape. This position is critical in overseeing the quality and standards of materials used in construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a materials laboratory, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the operation of a materials laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control processes for construction materials.
• Communicate with clients and contractors to meet project requirements effectively.
• Prepare project documentation and quality assurance reports.

Requirements

• A minimum of a National Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Registration with ECSA is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a materials laboratory or similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of specifications and regulations applicable to materials testing.
• Experience with quality control processes and laboratory management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and contractors.
• Experience with projects in the Eastern Cape is an advantage.
