Senior Environmental Scientist

An established environmental management and test laboratory is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to conduct Environmental Impact and Management Assessments, with a focus on water quality and dust fallout monitoring through quantitative and qualitative analyses, ensuring client deadlines are met.

Minimum Requirements For The Role

• Must have a B.Sc Degree (Hons) in Environmental Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years experience relevant experience will be required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent scientific report writing abilities with strong scientific reasoning skills are important
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced project management skills ans strong administrative skills are essential
• Mus be able to take full responsibility for projects including management, setup, sampling, analyses, reporting, and finance.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Managing Water Quality Monitoring functions including Monthly Information Reports, Quarterly Water Reports, and Annual Water Reports.
• Supervising sample management, project management, and scientific functions such as Data Tables, Statistical Tables, Site Reports, Sampling Registers, and Analytical Test Reports.
• Handling reporting for dust fallout monitoring, potable water monitoring, and occupational hygiene swab monitoring.
• Administering outsourced laboratory tasks including paperwork, sample submission, and results follow-up.
• Managing quoting for large monitoring projects, project budgeting, and forecasting.
• Communicating with project clients, managing project orders, and conducting project meetings, tender meetings, and presentations without supervision.
