Due to an increased workload an engineering company in Somerset Business Park, Somerset West, requires the services of a machine design draughtsman.
Job requirements:
- With at least 5 years experience in the design and development of machine parts and other engineering components.
- The key functions will be to compile design and detail drawings (using Solidworks software) and presenting these drawings and other documents to management for approval prior to manufacture.
- Undertake allocated projects with regular reporting on progress.
- Liaison and interaction with fellow employees (at all levels in the company) as well as company suppliers and technical specialists.Being bilingual in English and Afrikaans will be an advantage.
- Draughtsman with their own Solidworks licensed software will be at an advantage.No illegal software will be allowed.
- Applicants need to have a mechanical qualification,be technically minded,be a team player,be able to work accurately and independently under pressure and have a high attention to detail.
