Main Purpose Of The Role
Responsible for managing the end-to-end post production process ensuring adherence to timelines, budget management, and maintaining high quality standards. The role requires strong project management and technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in film production, media studies, or a related field preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in post-production, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
- Strong technical proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), as well as knowledge of sound mixing, and other post-production processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Lead and manage the post-production team, including editors, sound designers and other post-production personnel to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to streamline the post-production pipeline.
- Assign post-production schedules accordingly and communicate any delays with the editorial (Content Producers & Editors) and Head of Department.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to systemize and enforce compliance of best practices, SOPs and policies.
- Ensure approvals for critical projects are in place with the editorial time.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and other stakeholders to ensure creative vision is achieved and maintained throughout the post-production process.
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for post-production projects.
- Manage bookings for all regular and ad-hoc freelance post-production staff and ensure sign-off from the Head of Operations.
- Coordinate freelance video editors, final mix engineers and edit job schedules to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal output.
- Effectively work with a wide variety of staff and be able to effectively work within the Editorial vision during the post-production process in terms of content, TVCs, long form and short form content and programming.
- Ensure that Quality Control is performed by editors and final quality control is performed by the post team at all times on all edit work before sent for broadcast.
- Supervise the editing and assembly of footage, and ensuring objectives are met.
- Coordinate with external vendors and post-production facilities as needed.
- Ensure that all edit work is error free and the zero-tolerance to errors are maintained.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve post-production capabilities.
- Review and submit all freelance invoices on a monthly basis adhering to submission deadlines.
- Prepare regular feedback reports to the POP24 management team.
