What The Job Entails
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for improving the visibility and ranking of our web pages in search engines. This role requires a deep understanding of both On-Page and Technical SEO to ensure our content is optimized and our website infrastructure supports our SEO goals effectively.
Role Requirements And Tasks
- On-Page SEO:
- Optimize web pages to rank higher and attract more relevant traffic.
- Focus on enhancing content quality, optimizing HTML tags (title, meta, and header), and improving image optimization.
- Ensure content is high-quality, relevant, and updated, incorporating keywords naturally.
- Manage title tags, meta descriptions, headings, subheadings, and URL structures to improve readability and SEO performance.
- Optimize alt texts for images to ensure they are SEO-friendly and do not negatively impact page load times.
- Implement effective internal linking strategies to enhance site navigation and SEO.
- Monitor keyword optimization to avoid keyword stuffing and improve content visibility.
- Technical SEO:
- Act as a translator between the development team and SEO needs, ensuring that website changes align with SEO goals.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize site architecture, speed, mobile-friendliness, indexing, crawlability, and security.
- Brief developers on necessary changes based on SEO audit findings and oversee the implementation to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
- Off-Page SEO:
- Develop strategies for and oversee the execution of building backlinks.
- Monitor and analyze off-page techniques used by competitors and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor website traffic, search results, and develop strategies to improve the rankings.
- Regularly check search terms, rankings, and analytics to monitor the performance of websites and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide reports to management on current SEO performance and future strategies.
- Proven experience in SEO with a strong understanding of On-Page and Technical SEO.
- Ability to work closely with content teams and developers, translating SEO concepts and requirements effectively.
- Experience with SEO tools like Semrush for keyword research and performance tracking.
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and optimize strategies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
