An exciting opportunity exists with an ENT practice in Claremont. Our client seeks to appoint a Medical Receptionist who will be responsible for the full frontline function, basic debtors and creditors control, medical aid authorisations, theatre bookings etc.
Job requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a medical practice environment with basic accounts experience and a good command of the English language.
- This temporary placement will be for 2 – 3 weeks while the current receptionist is on leave.
- Matric.
- Minimum of 2 years medical reception with basic accounting experience.
- Strong MS Word and Excel proficiency.
- Previous experience on an accounting package will be advantageous.
- Respectful and patient.
- Must be exceptionally well presented.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist all patients in the Reception area.
- Diary management and theatre bookings.
- Invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- General day-to-day running of all administrative processes of this branch.
- General housekeeping and serving refreshments.
- Medical aid confirmations.
- Typing of medical reports.
- Stock management of stationary, office supplies and equipment.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and medical aid payments.
