Medical receptionist wanted

Medical practice in Olivedale is currently looking for a medical receptionist.

Job requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • 3 years plus experience of providing patient-centred administrative support
  • Ability to multitask by handling both medical and administrative duties
  • Committed to assisting an efficient and smooth running Reception area and practice
  • Approachable, personable
  • Compassionate and professional manner
  • Patient-focused
  • Strong communication skills
  • Monday to Friday

Job responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors
  • Ensuring all patient documentation is filed and correct within new patient files
  • Medical aid correspondence where necessary
  • Medical practice stock levels
  • Dictation documentation
  • Computer literate
  • Diary and schedule handling
  • Answer all calls professionally and promptly
  • Liaise with other relevant practices and theatre/hospital staff
  • Assist the admissions department by verifying and updating patient information
  • Handle cash payments for services not covered by Medical Aid and Non Medical Aid Patients
