Job requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- 3 years plus experience of providing patient-centred administrative support
- Ability to multitask by handling both medical and administrative duties
- Committed to assisting an efficient and smooth running Reception area and practice
- Approachable, personable
- Compassionate and professional manner
- Patient-focused
- Strong communication skills
- Monday to Friday
Job responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors
- Ensuring all patient documentation is filed and correct within new patient files
- Medical aid correspondence where necessary
- Medical practice stock levels
- Dictation documentation
- Computer literate
- Diary and schedule handling
- Answer all calls professionally and promptly
- Liaise with other relevant practices and theatre/hospital staff
- Assist the admissions department by verifying and updating patient information
- Handle cash payments for services not covered by Medical Aid and Non Medical Aid Patients
