MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide quality and safe clinical care to patients that present to the emergency centre through assessing, diagnosing, treating and disposition according to best practice standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Provide quality safe clinical care in the emergency centre
Assist with teaching and co-ordinating clinical development programmes in the emergency centre to improve patient care
Adhere to and to support the nursing staff in the application of triage in the emergency centre
Actively participate in company strategies e.g. PatientsFirst@Mediclinic
Partake in emergency centre quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure safe, quality patient care is delivered at all times
Maintain a minimum standard of emergency medical care knowledge and expertise at all times
Required Education
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: MB BCh/MB ChB
DESIRED EDUCATION: Dip PEC, MPhil
Required Experience
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Completion of internship and community service years
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience post community service year in emergency centre in private / public hospital
