The Merchandising Specialist will serve as a company-wide product expert, using data analysis, customer feedback, and industry research to guide product decisions. They will work hand in hand with product development, design, and planning to ensure the delivery of compelling and profitable brand assortments.
This person will use strong cross-functional communication to lead seamless product launches across all sales channels. They will ensure the Marketing, Creative, E-commerce, and Wholesale teams are equipped with the right product knowledge to create a dynamic, best-in-class customer experience.
Candidates should demonstrate experience as a cross-functional leader, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly selling reports for all brands and channels. Proactively and regularly analyze business to identify areas of opportunity, as well as potential challenges across all brands.
- Work closely with planning to drive a strategy that maximizes key areas of the business and meets the financial targets of each brand and sales channel.
- Collaborate with our design and product development teams to create products that will resonate with customers and drive growth.
- Work cross-functionally with the Marketing, Creative, and E-commerce teams to develop 360 activation plans around key product launches.
- Work cross-functionally with our retail and e-commerce teams to execute visual merchandising, creating a best-in-class customer experience across all sales channels.
- Support the wholesale team by developing seasonal line sheets and new product education.
- Serve as a company-wide product expert on channel-level sales, inventory management, and new product launches.
- 2-4 years of buying or merchandising experience. Home category experience is a plus.
- Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Superior analytical skills, with a strong understanding of retail math
- Experience managing an open-to-buy
- Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets experience required- including all basic formulas, V-lookups, and Pivot tables.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, and has a player-coach mentality.
- Experience using Shopify is a plus.
- Availability to work EST hours is required
