As a Manager, you will be part of a focused team of high performing problem solvers, leading the delivery of complex M&A projects across the deal spectrum for our clients with a focus on steering, facilitating and supporting acquisitive growth within our M&A practice.
Managers play a crucial role in the translation of big picture inorganic growth strategies into practical delivery by leading multiple teams to successful project execution; structuring and managing projects and workstreams; co-ordinating project insights and analysis; and leading team development.
The individual will be given an opportunity to operate in a rapidly changing environment, and so should show strength in being a proactive self-starter with a passion for quality output, display an underlying dedication to team growth and the keenness to develop deep, meaningful client relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to:
- High-quality, efficient project execution:
- Substantial contribution to the strategic execution of focused analysis (both financial and commercial) to meet varying client needs, relating to Due Diligences, both financial and commercial, Valuations, Financial Modelling and Deal Advisory (including both buy-side and sell-side advisory)
- Support to the delivery teams in the overarching strategic solution development, problem solving and critical reasoning, with the oversight of the extraction of the pertinent insights identified highlighting risks and opportunities relevant to the business both currently and post transaction;
- Ability to run M&A projects independently through the identification and execution of project objectives and plans, while engaging autonomously with clients and teams to influence project outcomes; ensuring the successful delivery of the project work within tight transaction deadlines.
- Natural propensity to advise, engage, encourage and teach junior team members, on the job and in more focused training sessions, to create tangible opportunities for personal and career growth.
- To cultivate and nurture meaningful new and existing client relationships through exceptional operational engagements and project delivery, and extending relationship building in pursuit of pipeline and partnership opportunities, contributing to the overall revenue of the M&A practice.
- Contributing to the effective management of the M&A practice through the identification of process and methodology improvements and efficiencies, solving for improved efficiency, effectiveness and repeatability, as well as applying consideration to the overarching strategic development and direction of the practice.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
1. Relevant technical M&A skills including:
- In-depth valuation knowledge and experience;
- Financial modelling skills;
- Financial analysis skills;
- Commercial review skills; and
- Deal advisory experience (Preferred but not required)
3. Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent leadership capabilities with demonstrable experience in M&A project execution and delivery across the core offerings.
5. Pertinent business and commercial acumen with a:

7. Adaptability within a hybrid remote working environment.
8. Ability to identify and drive marketing initiatives to proactively drive brand recognition in the market, in conjunction with our in-house marketing team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified CA(SA) with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the M&A industry.
- At least 5 years relevant experience within the M&A industry, CFA preferable.
