The Learning Support Specialist role for Skills Development is responsible for providing support to internal customers and external stakeholders on skills development requirements and solutions and focusing on supporting the plan to achieve the SD Target for MFC.
The incumbent is required to provide technical support for Skills Development requirements and related queries and is individually accountable for achieving results through their efforts.
The essential skills required for the role are communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, project management, tech-savviness, problem-solving, collaboration, technical and customer service.
The desirable skills are decision-making, analytical, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Engages with stakeholders to effectively identify and resolve skills development issues.
- Demonstrate the importance of collaboration by working closely with all stakeholders to support SD initiatives and requirements.
- Plan and track the progress of skills development deliverables for MFC on and against the SD Scorecard.
- Support the change management plans for the implementation of SD initiatives.
- Delivers relevant and insightful Skills Development information through reporting.
- Evaluate the impact of Skills Development by measuring and monitoring the feedback.
- Manage and track the progress of MFCs SD Score.
- Collate and submit the information on behalf of MFC for the Work Skills Plan and Annual Training Report.
- Manage the relationships with key stakeholders that provide learning opportunities that support MFC Learning Strategy.
- Contribute to the governance and controls that support learning governance within MFC and across OML.
- Prepare and provide the contractual agreements that support the identified learning opportunities.
- Support the study and bursary processes.
- Relevant Business or HR or L&D tertiary qualification (NQF 5)
- 3+ years of experience in a learning support role with a focus on administrative and technical resolutions (ideal)
- Knowledge of Skills Development procedures and policies (ideal)
