Millrwight is needed in Brits, North West.
Job responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specification
- Perform daily inspection in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, operational and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the supervisor
- Develop, modify, construct and install all types of trade related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment.
- Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion
- Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems
- Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affects production
- Supports the achievements of engineering availability and production performance levels
Job requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Valid section 14 Trade test/Section 26(0) certificate required
- Valid driver’s license code B, EB, C1. Own Transport to attend to call outs (if required)
- Minimum 2-3 years ‘experience as a qualified artisan
- Must be willing to work shifts
- English language proficiency
- Time Management skills
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Must have knowledge of instrumentation equipment
- VSO trained
- Must have experience in pump maintenance and repairs
- Must be able to do alignment
- Must have knowledge in changing bearings
- Not colour blind
- Must be able to work in confide spaces
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be familiar with the risk procedure
- Operating of Huckbolting machine will be an added assessment advantage
- Operating of thread cutting machine will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of maintain MV motors will be an added advantage
- Medium voltage competency skills (certificated) will be an added advantage
- The ideal candidate should have good communication skills in a competitive environment, a strong desire to learn new skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and enjoy high stress production environments.
