I am a qualified, experienced and skilled rigger ropesman that accumulated a lot of experience in the mining environment from March 2007, worked as an artisan assistant until I got a learnership in 2011 and qualified as a rigger ropesman on the 28 of September 2012 and I was immediately appointed as a rigger ropesman underground and surface doing Shaft maintenance(i.e. changing guides, buntons, water and air pipes, shaft screens, penthouses etc.), slinging of heavy equipment and material down the shaft, installing, inspecting and cutting back and front ends on winders and winches ropes, changing bridles, cages and skips, inspections and colour coding in all rigging equipment on site and keeping records, keeping all the legal government books up to date after each inspection, attending breakdowns on locos and hoppers derailments, installing and moving motors and pumps on pump chambers, done a lot of general underground and surface jobs that critically needed a rigger to do.
