Why should I be considered for this job?
I have a diverse range of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing/Category and Marketing Management experience in the FMCG, semi - government (State/Parastatal) sector, banking, and in the telecommunications industry. With over 23 years experience specifically in the Indirects and Opex spend categories.
I have assumed a number of leadership roles which gained me a versatile set of skills such as: Organizational, Planning, Leading, Controlling and Directing. I am quite familiar with Project management. I have an ability to inspire, motivate and co-coordinating are some of my attributes.
Amongst others are my managerial skills; Problem-solving skills, Negotiation skills; Conflict management skills as well as Research, Conceptual and Analytic skills.
I have become a part of and also a project leader on a number of implementation and development of procurement sourcing and category management projects. I have created Cross Funtional Sourcing Teams to ensure the following key KPI’s are met:
- Category/Soursing plan signed off and agreed by all parties. Plans to include entire business case including process to be followed going forwad
- Tender process adherence
- Savings achievement
- Proper SLA’s and contracts are in place as well as supplier performance measurements are in place and are met
- Proper suppliers are identified which meet quality, pricing, savings/rebates and BBBEE requirements
- All stakeholder requirements are met from beginning until the end of process
- All timelines are met as per agreed stakeholder and project management timeline sign off
I duly believe that my exposure in various positions will secure me for any Procurement/Sourcing positions that I may apply for.
I know that I would add a tremendous amount of value to any company that I may be employed to work for.
