Minopex is searching for fresh talent to join our organization as part of our Graduate Programme for Engineering (Industrial), with the aim of the Programme is to develop a skilled continuous Improvement Engineer. We are looking for a recent graduate who is a high performer, disciplined, dedicated and self-motivated to join our team.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering business improvement processes , analysis and capabilities across site
- Support the implementation of Minopex Operating Model (MOM) by coaching supervisors on application of problem-solving tools and techniques
- Facilitate Implementation of Management Operating Systems(L1-L4 MOS System) through the sites
- Monitor and advise on key business process risks and issues impacting the business
- Conduct Value Steam Maps(VSM) and Value Driver Tree (VDT) to assist sites in maximizing productivity and minimizing waste
- Conduct work measurements to understand time values for the tasks and resources allocations for activities
- Assist in rolling out sites sound improvement systems which drive process automation and centralisation of data.
- The Graduate Programme is designed to equip graduates with industry experience and professional development through practical learning programmes
- The Programme offers graduates a unique learning opportunity with ongoing assessment and feedback
- This is a 2-year fixed term programme and permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of this programme
- Successful applicants must be willing to be rotated between Minopex operations
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering
- Up to one years experience in mining will be advantageous
- Experience sourcing, interpreting, and presenting data and making informed decisions
- A naturally numerical, analytical, and an enquiring mind with the ability to engage, and challenge and others
- A willingness to learn - and share as much as possible throughout the programme
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential)
- Experience with Power BI would be beneficial
- Must be a South African Citizen
