Role Purpose
To develop and build financial models to quantify the financial aspects of proposed corporate transactions using multiple financial metrics as well as provide input into MMHs M&A decision-making process through financial analysis.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Actuarial or Business Science; or
- A qualified chartered accountant; or
- Nearly - or newly qualified actuary; or another appropriate qualification (e.g. CFA or similar) and relevant experience.
- 5+ years work experience in a financial environment, preferably one or more of the areas of life insurance, consulting, financial analysis, asset management or corporate finance.
Internal Process
- Develop and built financial models using Excel and populating such models with appropriate economic and financial metrics.
- Perform valuation of corporate assets using multiple valuation methodologies.
- Perform and present scenario-analyses to evaluate the robustness of the valuation under different scenarios.
- Present valuation results to MMHs relevant decision-making forums.
- Provide support and input to enable (and work with) the MMH M&A dealmakers to determine and negotiate scientific pricing of corporate assets.
- Liaise with MMHs financial reporting professionals to provide input into the appropriate accounting treatment and directors valuation of recently concluded corporate transactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Deliver internal and external governance bodies and decision-makers.
- Make recommendations and provide input into the financial aspects of corporate dealmaking.
