Bar Manager/Sommelier

Mininimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a sommelier.
Proven Bar Management experience.
Strong knowlege of wine and spirit service procedures.
Sales experience with a gift to influence people through a combination of knowlege and charm.
Must have ability to show and use initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for promoting and maximising beverage sales.
Follows and ensures that company beverage standards of service are being adhered to.
Provides prompt, attentative, courteous and accurate service to every guest.
Stays abreast of latest trends in both culinary and wine and spirits world.
Choosing wines that best fit the customers requests.
The ability to cross train and manage staff.
Drawing up of duty rosters.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve any issues that may arise in the workplace. Technical or other.
To assist with and ensure that the stock levels and orders are accurate.
To ensure that the company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Skills:
The ability to work in a team and on your own.
Strong communication in English with good written skills. Any additional languages a plus.
