This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site. You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line. Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.
How You Will Contribute
In your likely first managerial role, you will ensure that Mondelz Internationals safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets are achieved for the lines for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets. In this role, you will also develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members. Without you, we would not be able to deliver high-quality snacks to our customers.

- Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
- Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment
- Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3
- Leading line teams
- Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully
- Influencing people in a union environment
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing and a good attention to detail

This position involves effective and efficient management of process, methods & material resources to continuously deliver products of consistently high quality and at the right throughput at competitive costs that will guarantee profitability for the business. All these activities must be carried out in a safe manner and clean environment.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Manufacture of products of expected Quality standards and planned volume at appointed delivery dates and schedule on a departmental basis.
- Ensure that plant performance, state of hygiene, safety and operating personnel adequately support the requirement for the delivery of set target.
- Ensure strict compliance to planned Maintenance and improvement where feasible, of process, techniques and methods for the manufacture of standard quality product.
- Provide adequate training for all categories of the workforce in the department (Manager/Non-management).
- Implement all aspects of Total Quality Management (QA, QC, QA concept) including the operation of quality Setting up machines to start a production cycle
- Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Maintain activity logs
- Implemented quality control to maintain company guidelines
- Ensure safety of equipment and self/team
- Participated in safety training
- Assisted in inventory control
- Ensure timely preparation and availability of all production materials to avoid shortage during production.
- Report regularly all issue relating to production activities and progress.
- Conduct Risk Assessment and ensure LOTO compliance and Achieve near zero defects
- Ensure machines are run with guards and safety devices in place in line with the procedure
- Effective implementation of the AM in the plant and Visible QCDSM boards
- Work with services drive equipment reliability and ensure round the clock availability of equipment for production use on a daily basis
- Ensure machines achieve cum deliver consistent product quality
- Work towards reduction in scrap/rework level in the plant-Drive down waste on all the lines & champion waste reduction efforts and ensure rework re-use
- Deliver weekly production plan & achieve expected GE across the lines
- Report and investigate near misses, incident & accidents in the factory
- Provide support services to ensure prompt and quality service delivery to the factory.
- Strict adherence to GMP Requirements
- Bsc, HND or equivalent in Engineering from a reputable institution
- Must have at least 2 years experience in a Process Plant
- A proven ability to learn quickly and take responsibility for actions taken.
- Accountable, Adaptable, Aggressive & must have integrity
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong collaborative skills/ community builder
