To facilitate the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities of the FSCA. This will involve tracking against performance indicators, goals, objectives, targets and verifying for accuracy, validity, and completeness. The person appointed to this position will report to the Senior Manager: Governance, Risk and Assurance.
Requirements:
An appropriate bachelors degree in economics or accounting, or audit with at least 5 years experience in the monitoring and evaluation field. Strong knowledge of annual performance plan reporting and auditing. SAICA or IIA membership will be an added advantage. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data. Possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and systems to measure the effectiveness and impact of strategic programs.
- Ensure that all FSCA's departmental performance is successfully monitored against objectives and KPIs on a quarterly basis for core departments
- and support departments, with documented results of all tests and exercises with the purpose of implementing recommended enhancements and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Implement tools, data collection processes, and procedures for Monitoring and Evaluation of the organisational performance and ensure processes and procedures are maintained and fully embedded.
- Conduct performance audits of business processes, procedures, and operational controls to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify gaps, areas for improvement, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the collection of accurate and reliable data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure that all data collected is quality assured and that the necessary Portfolios of Evidence have been verified and are available.Analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports to present findings and recommendations to management.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Consolidate departmental M&E reports into an FSCA wide report.
- Prepare timely communications and high-quality Strategic findings and reports to various FSCA governance committees.
- Provide guidance and support to divisions/departments on Monitoring and evaluation of best practices and methodologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in monitoring and evaluation practices.
- Co-ordinate responses to performance information for external and internal audits.
- Provide assurance to the FSCA Management that reported performance is accurate.
- Compile and present information that is reliable i.e. valid, accurate and complete, timely and relevant for the measuring of organisational performance.
