The successful incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of Motor Wreck Administrators that are affiliated to the different motor claims regions, providing senior management assurance of adhering to claims philosophy, claims policy, standard operating procedures and relevant regulatory compliance and adherence.
This role also requires the successful incumbent to laisse with other stakeholders on a regular basis, such as brokers, clients, salvage management, IT, finance houses, auction houses, courier services, etc.
What Will Make You Successful In The Role
- Ensure that claims are settled correctly and in accordance to policies
- Ensure compliance with Santam, industry and legal regulatory requirements ensuring TCF principles are embedded, across the claims motor value chain.
- Lead and manage the team of wreck administrators and manage external supply base of external assessors
- Provision of good and sound financial settlement solutions related to finance agreements, ie lease and hire purchase agreements
- Find innovative ways that will improve processes and turnaround time
- Negotiating skills and understanding of motor dealership networks operations
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Provide performance feedback to leaders and management team
- Collaborate on initiatives / projects
- Evaluating and measuring customer satisfaction and other performance outcomes
- Stay abreast with financial changes in the economy related to interest rates and implement changes effectively
- Professional management of staff related matters and implementation of company policies

- Sound claims settlement expertise
- At least 5 years short-term claims insurance industry experience in a managerial role
- Sound financial background in vehicle asset finance
