A relevant qualification, commercial and operational expertise, coupled with an achievement track record in regional sales management and national key accounts management over at least a decade.
Willingness to travel extensively is required. Ability to speak Afrikaans is recommended.
Reporting Structure
The position reports into the CEO, and the COO, with three Regional Accounts Managers reporting in.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage team performance to achieve budgeted Sales, GP and Volume in
- Corporate Chains
- Research industry, market, competitor and client trends
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments and feedback from field activity to Executive
- Measure current marketshare nationally
- Formulate and communicate a strategy and structured market approach for this division to grow marketshare
- Call on the Head Offices of the Corporate Chains and build key relationships, trust, credibility and buy-in at this level
- Allocate time in the field, travelling regionally with the team - mentor, coach and develop them accordingly
- Work on talent retention and succession planning
- Monitor and manage call compliance and technical sales requirements of team
- Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, competitions, expos or seminars
- Manage promotions or marketing in liaison with relevant parties
- Maintain and build on service excellence and manage problem solving, client complaints or accounts issues in liaison with the relevant parties
- Provide weekly reports and feedback to national sales management as per ADAPT meeting requirements and Flash report standards
