Job Specification National Stock Operations Manager
Stock Supervision
To do occasional site visits/inspections to stock yards locally (GP) and nationally
Provide training and monitoring that all are following the set-out processes regarding sales shipments, stock transfers and deliveries from suppliers, provide corrective training/action.
Ensure stock admins are up to date with all paperwork and process all paperwork.
Monitor stock levels, communicate current stock yard SOHs with implementation and requesting feedback to redistribute stock if its no longer required on existing stock yards. preventing unnecessary purchases and reducing excess stock.
To be available and in constant communication with the stock supervisors, stock controllers, stock admins and project managers.
Ensure safeguarding of stock on premises, ensuring locks, chains are available to secure fibre and to ensure that no stock leaves the yard without being captured..
Site Establishment and Logistics
Coordinate with project managers, procurement and logistics to ensure that the planning for new stock yards, stock controllers and facilities are done on time.
Supervise with the closing of the stock yards liaising with logistics and warehousing to safely move the stock.
Coordinating with Logistics, Procurement and stock controllers to ensure stock is being relocated to where its needed.
To monitor that stock is being moved within geographical/financial limits
Stock Take
To plan all stock counts for the month ensuring every stock yard is counted and results are captured as soon as possible.
To monitor all counts, monthly and weekly counts for any anomalies and resolve difference.
Stock count variances to be as low as possible with all differences explained.
Variance reports and findings emailed to management within 2 days of counts being completed.
Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics
Liaise with Line management, warehouse employees, and other staff to plan and schedule distribution of inventory to various sites and warehouses.
To monitor all counts, monthly and weekly counts for any anomalies and resolve difference.
Administration
Monitor designated stock yard WhatsApp groups to ensure flow of paperwork is constant and filled in correctly.
Compare Monday/Friday counts for variances results.
Monitor stock yard administrators to ensure that all transactions are captured with 24 hours or less.
Keep up to date with administration and reporting tasks.
Do monthly updates with the travel team to ensure that regional stock controllers have accommodation booked and SnT paid out.

Strong communications skills up and down the team hierarchy.
Need to have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Matric, any other stock management qualification will be an advantage.
Speak/Write English.
Must be computer literate in MS Office.
To have 3 or more years experience in warehouse/stock management.
Must have own transport.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home as required.
Sage X3 experience preferable.
