Your Role
Growing market share in the exports out of South Africa and increasing Gross Profit through effective pricing and pricing models.
Your Responsibilities
- To create a sound strategy for the development of the export trade out of South Africa
- Work closely with Trade/Product Managers to ensure that competitive pricing is used to secure key opportunities.
- Liaise closely with sales functions such as key accounts, field sales and internal sales and ensure that feedback is provided for each opportunity.
- Ensure all National and Branch tariffs are updated and available on the various platforms for accurate & efficient export quoting.
- Review RFQs for all must win/key bids before final submission pertaining to export development
- Ensure proper engagement is happening with relevant stakeholders for must win/key opprtunities.
- To perform and adhere to any reasonable request from direct report or K+N Senior Management.
- Advanced level of computer literacy (especially Excel)
- Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments
- A minimum of 5 years experience in both Seafreight Operations, Sales and/or Trade
- Good Customs knowledge in the South African environment
- Excellent problem solving and organizational ability
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
- Must be able to build strong internal and external client relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
