Job Purpose
The Sponsorship Manager executes on the sponsorship plan, ensuring that it is aligned to overall strategy. Responsible for leading the communication, on-boarding and contracting of sponsorship stakeholders. Ensure the development of sponsorships and events while integrating with brand and other teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage planning and alignment of sponsorship marketing strategies aligned to brand and marketing initiatives.
- Manage communications, on-boarding and contracting of sponsorship stakeholders.
- Oversee sponsorship budgets and contribute to the negotiation of sponsorship rights.
- Supervise the implementation of sponsorship campaigns.
- Prepare and present sponsorship campaign proposals to squads based on mission and BAU delivery and requirements.
- Support the sponsorship marketing team on marketing plans.
- Execute core logistical tasks surrounding the project management, planning and execution of partnership activities, ensuring deliverables are created and delivered on time in support of programmes.
- Oversee the creation of innovative tactics that leverage partnerships aligned to objectives.
- Collaborate with agencies and business functions to monitor and track metrics and key learnings to apply to future programmes.
- Coordinate the briefing, design, and production of various marketing materials.
- Manage key partners (including agencies, suppliers etc.).
- Manage merchandise creative, orders, requests and inventory related to sponsorships.
- Adhere to compliance approvals and processes for all marketing and advertising communications.
- Stay abreast of trends and best practice in sponsorships industry.
- Work with cross functional squads as a Traveler expert.
- Lead the planning, execution and manage post campaign analysis and reporting of various sponsorships
- Executes the tasks in the marketing backlog with support from other team members.
- Participates and contributes to all the agile ceremonies in a sprint cycle.
- Participate in the development of the Sponsorship, Events and Activations chapter initiatives.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Marketing/Events Management
- Marketing related certifications - preferred
- 3 - 6 years
