ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Financial Services Group seeks a forward-thinking Head of IT Delivery whose core role will be to introduce strategic change into the business through a customer and service focused team of professional resources that facilitates the successful completion of projects and the management of IT Delivery teams. You will manage testing and quality assurance, facilitate strategic & tactical planning process while assisting Business Sponsors by facilitating pre-project activities e.g. Feasibility Studies & Business Impact Assessments. Applicants must possess a Business Degree, at least 8 years work experience in a Project Management/Program Manager role and 5 years Senior Management experience including evidence of delivery and good performance within areas of accountability (application of knowledge & skill) and experience with Strategic Planning process facilitation; Project Management; Business Transition / Change Management and Expense Management.
DUTIES:
- Understand business requirements, business and IT Architecture.
- Facilitate of strategic and tactical planning process.
- Facilitate prioritisation of Enterprise projects and key business initiatives to enable the Group Strategy.
- Ensure best practice principles and methodologies within area of responsibility.
- Manage testing and quality assurance.
- Manage application delivery with a focus on Agile delivery.
- Assist Business Sponsors by facilitating pre-project activities, for example -
- Feasibility Studies
- Business Impact Assessments
- Ensure strategy is converted into aligned business understanding of business intent and an agreed project approach and required project structure.
- Ensure change is successfully managed into the business through effective and efficient Change Management practices, i.e. Impact Analysis, Stakeholder & Communication Management, etc.
- Expenses are managed within agreed IT Delivery and business systems budget.
- The Project Management capability and capacity within the Group is optimised, for example:
- Mentoring and coaching of Line Managers and the wider team.
- Appropriate resourcing for delivery.
- Lead and manage the IT delivery team and ensure performance is optimal to ensure successful delivery, for example: Team member performance management.
- Identification, tracking of key risks of programmes and projects related to capacity and capability.
Qualifications
- Business Degree.
- Minimum of 8 years in Project Management / Program Manager position.
- Minimum of 5 years Senior Management experience.
- Experience/evidence of delivery and good performance within areas of accountability (application of knowledge & skill).
