An opportunity has become vacant for a Technical Specialist I within the IT Infrastructure team, reporting into the Technical Team lead.
Job Description
Purpose
- To provide technical infrastructure support to the Clicks Infrastructure team by delivering best of breed, world-class technical infrastructure which supports key Clicks IT business applications; effective administration of day to day operations through effective use of technology using best practices.
- To administer the appropriate technologies by maintaining appropriate versions and implementing patches.
- To analyse internal records of major problem causes and resolutions, identify recurring problems and modify the resolution actions to prevent recurrence.
- To assist with the implementation of the infrastructure roadmap and one-year-plan activities.
- To assist with operational improvement and stabilisation activities to meet service levels.
- To assist with continuous technology process improvements in order to embed operational excellence.
- To perform general house-keeping activities to enable the technology to perform at an optimal level.
- To ensure self-development and to keep pace with ever-changing technology requirements and industry.
- Documentation of systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 4 years experience in general IT infrastructure and technology administration.
- ITIL Foundation qualification is desirable.

- Experience with IBM PowerVM virtualization.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks (LAN and WAN).
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks.
