We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a background in finance to join our team as a QuickBooks Bookkeeping Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, particularly with QuickBooks Desktop, along with proficiency in utilizing Dropbox, Google Drive, and other digital tools. This role will primarily focus on data capturing, maintaining financial records, and supporting our bookkeeping processes.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Capture and input financial data into QuickBooks with precision and efficiency.
- Organize and manage digital files using Dropbox and Google Drive.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements, invoices, and other financial documents.
- Generate financial reports and assist in preparing financial statements.
- Collaborate closely with the bookkeeping team to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Stay informed about relevant software updates and best practices in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Provide administrative support to the bookkeeping department as required.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, preferably with QuickBooks Desktop.
- Background in finance with a solid understanding of financial principles and terminology.
- Proficiency in using Dropbox and Google Drive for file organization and management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications in bookkeeping or QuickBooks are advantageous.
