Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible to ensure optimum Manufacturing line/equipment performance under responsibility during shift, assuring product quality & compliance to Safety & Environment policies, as well as housekeeping.

A day in the life of a Technical Operator:

Operational
  • Performs equipment preparation, set-up & adjustment.
  • Ensures material requirements' availability. Coordinates with support/services groups reoperational requirements.
  • Performs start-up operations.
  • Operates lines and monitors/records operational parameters & initiates corrective action.
  • Performs necessary GLOBE SAP/SAM transactions.
  • Performs in-line quality checks as defined by the NQS/QMS & initiates corrective action.
  • Collects & submits samples as required.
  • Ensures compliance to personal safety, food safety & GMP requirements.
  • Performs change over, cleaning/shutdown activities with associated dismantling & assembly.
  • Actively participates in the conduct of trials of new products, equipment, and processes.
  • Completion of full shift handover
  • Update of all tasks, as well as participation in Mission Directed Work Team (MDWT)
  • Completion of all reworks that may occur.
  • Affect the CIP and manual cleaning of all pipes, tanks bins, etc.
  • Substitute for Team Leader in his/her absence or when so requested.
Maintenance
  • Observe equipment operation during normal operating cycle.
  • Identify potential problems.
  • Communicate problems, which cannot be, remedied to appropriate production and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure all cleaning, lubricating, inspection & minor adjustment of all equipment under his/her responsibility.
  • Monitor condition of equipment and makes necessary interventions to prevent failures in coordination with the Technical Support Team.
  • Create Maintenance Notifications in AMM System (PMO1 Breakdown & PMO2 - Condition-based Maintenance) for work outside scope of First Line Maintenance.
  • Based on the approved maintenance plans (PM03), participates in the execution of first line scheduled & condition-based maintenance activities.
  • Motivates improvements to spare parts stock level.
  • Checks and maintains the cleanliness and good housekeeping of his work area and adjacent surroundings.
  • Performs equipment troubleshooting / repair activity (First Line Maintenance) and takes necessary measures to address deviations. Seeks assistance from Engineering and production management when the need arises.
  • Replacement of production consumables and report the need for replacement of defective components with sub-assemblies to the technical support team.
  • Participates in systematic Failure Analysis on all assets under his responsibility and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence of same failures within the CDM Process.
  • Documents all aspects of first line maintenance performed.
  • Assist the line fitter in line changes.
Continuous Improvement
  • Assists, participates, and makes recommendations in line performance optimization meetings for all Machines & Equipment by using his understanding of the Key Performance Indicators such as:
  • Line Efficiency/Performance
  • Planned & Unplanned Downtime
  • Work Order Backlog
  • Panned Maintenance Compliance
  • Man-hours spent on Breakdown Work analyse together with Engineer.
  • Manufacturing and Maintenance Costs track only.
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement Activities.
  • Implement actions (within Scope of FLM) defined in line performance optimization meetings from failure analysis.
  • Practices personal/industrial safety and applies/performs safety prevention/precautions relevant to his work (equipments & installations).
  • Practices the philosophy and principles of SHE / NEMS, NGMP, 5S and articulates the importance of these in the manufacturing environment / workplace.
  • Always maintains appropriate required hygiene & housekeeping standards in his workplace.
  • Always Assures & follows compliance to all safety & environmental requirements in his workplace.
