Network Development Manager - Subsea Responsibilities:
- Developing supply strategies, including joint build efforts with partner organizations with similar connectivity needs
- Managing a portfolio of subsea system and fiber infrastructure suppliers across trans-Atlantic, African and Middle East regions
- Identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and working with the legal department to negotiate and execute supplier contracts
- Overseeing the commercial and operational performance of contracts, tracking and ensuring supplier compliance within the terms and conditions of the contract, processing of supplier invoices, and renegotiation of contract terms (CVs) as needed
- Maintaining a deep understanding of the subsea cable and telecom wholesale market technological and commercial developments

- Working closely with cross functional teams to develop network requirement and acquisition strategies and generating clear and objective investment analysis and recommendations for investment approvals
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time abroad including representing Meta at industry events
- BA/BSC or equivalent in technical or business related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding and experience in subsea cables (including consortium management), fiber infrastructure, and carrier market players including in Africa and Middle East
- Proven track record of major deal execution and understanding of subsea cables (preferred) and / or terrestrial fiber infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams spread across multiple regions
- Operational and technical knowledge of networking particularly in subsea transport technologies
- Project management experience including on procurement, construction and operational working groups
- Multilingual in 1 or more regional business languages, proficiency in French or Arabic would be a bonus
