Reporting to the Group IT Manager your primary responsibility is to plan, organize and manage the overall network and security operations of the organization's internal and external infrastructures.
Responsibilities
Essential Requirements for the Role:
- 5+ years in a NOC/SOC management role.
- Thorough understanding of:
- IP networks, VLANs, VPNs.
- Firewalls, switches, routers (Cisco, Fortinet, Mikrotik).
- Windows and Linux server administration.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft licensing.
- Virtualization, backup procedures, disaster recovery.
- Active directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy.
- Cybersecurity concepts and industry best practices, SIEM.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prioritization of daily tasks and/or requests and/or services.
- Manage the overall network functions, adapting these to meet business needs, applying best practice technologies, and regularly engaging with our service providers to maintain reliable infrastructures.
- Manage and help to customize the group's security and access systems, using industry best practices, and enforcing the group's security standards across relevant platforms.
- Oversee all data centres, hosted and on-premises, carrying out appropriate upgrades and expansions in line with the business needs and performance requirements.
- Ensure sufficient redundancy across systems and networks, carrying out disaster recovery tests in accordance with the agreed protocol.
- Together with your team, carry out support and management of the group's VOIP services and platforms.
- Develop and retain highly responsive and customer-focused team members to execute the above operations and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with those service providers relevant to your team.
