We are an education NGO working with vulnerable youth with substance abuse background, low levels of literacy/numeracy, family and personal trauma. Our organisation provides youth with an education and work experience, enabling them to find employment and provide for themselves and their families. Our organisation seeks a qualified and experienced Financial Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization and provide financial involvement for all departments of the company.
- Preparing Management accounts and annual Financial Statement
- Supervising Balance Sheet, Income statement and Cash Flow
- Reporting to the Board
- Full VIP Payroll function
- Submitting UI-19 to Department of Labour monthly
- Updating of information with regard to tax, UIF, medical aid and pension in VIP Payroll
- Preparation annual assessment to Workman’s Compensation
- Reporting back to Tax Exemption Unit on Section 18A certificates issued
- Reporting back to Department of Social Development
- Attending EXCO meeting approximately every three month – liaise with Programme Directors on problems within their projects
- Preparing budgets (monthly and annual) for each department, working with relevant manager.
- Preparing and submitting of annual report and accounts to Social Development
- Prepare and write all funding applications for donors and organisations
- Prepare and write donors funding reports
- Prepare financial reports and SROI reports for management and donors
- Assessing where and how the project can reduce spending and become more efficient with resources
- Assisting and coordinating fundraising for the project
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric
- BCom Finance Degree
- Advantageous: Experience in VIP Payrol
- More than 5 years professional experience
- Must have sound Pastel Accounting experience

- Accurate and analytical with the ability to work under pressure
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Knowledge and experience in dealing and submitting to SARS, returns and monthly PAYE
