LANCEWOOD is a division of JSE listed Libstar Operations (Pty) Ltd LANCEWOOD was founded in 1996 and operates 3 production facilities based in George, Swellendam and Athlone in the Cape Region. LANCEWOODs key focus is to continuously deliver superior quality products to their consumers.
Based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, you will be reporting to the Managing Executive. You will partner with the business to develop, implement and drive an HR people strategy supportive of business objectives and the Companys employee value proposition. Joining a dynamic, critical thinking team of executives, you need to demonstrate your ability to build good working relationships within the executive structure, across the business and at all levels.
Key activities include:
Continuously driving and developing the People Strategy in accordance with the Companys strategic objectives
BBBEE strategy development and leading agreed Employment Equity guidelines
Providing quality HR advice and support to the business
Building a positive, motivated and development orientated Company culture representative of the Companys values
Leading, managing and developing a high-performing HR team
Effective management of HR problems considering long-term and short-term employee and business requirements
Advising on department and organisational people structures
Management and coordination of training and development initiatives per the Companys requirements
Management of the recruitment and selection process
Execution of the performance management process including the development of job profiles and active performance appraisal support to Managers
Management of all disciplinary and employee relations matters in line with labour law requirements
Developing good working relationships with unions and manage shop steward requests
Leading and supporting wage negotiation processes
Representing the Company at the CCMA where required
Ensuring and maintaining Employment Equity compliance
Implementing effective HR management systems, procedures, and policies
Prepare internal, external (SETA, Department of Labour, Stats SA, etc.)
Preparing and presenting Group HR reports
This position calls for a minimum of 8 years related HR Management experience gained within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), FMCG Manufacturing industries experience in the Dairy industry will be advantageous. You will also need a relevant tertiary qualification (ideally Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology) as well as a post graduate qualification and registration with relevant professional bodies.
Your stable track record must demonstrate your experience in Human Resource Generalist roles, with evidence of Union negotiations, IR processes and CCMA representation, taking ownership of Skills Development, overseeing internal discipline. You also need knowledge of all legislation related to SDA, BCEA, LRA, and EEA as well as reporting to Department of Labour. You should already have been in a position where you have led the implementation of best practice HR policies, processes, and procedures. You will need your own vehicle and drivers license and be willing to travel for business as required.
